Introduction
You are going to become an insect for a day. What insect will you be? `Find out some facts about your insect. Write about your day's adventure from morning to night.
Task
Now that you have decided what insect you will be, use the World Wide Web and resource books to gather information to tell us about yourself.
Use the insect worksheet to make a Bug Book about your insect.
Use Kid Pix, Claris Works, Hyperstudio, StoryBook Weaver, The Writing Center and/or write and illustrate about your day as an insect.
Using the playdough recipe, make and bake a model of your insect.
Use the Venn Diagram worksheet to compare and contrast helpful and nonhelpful insects.

4. Use the Venn Diagram worksheet to compare and contrast helpful and nonhelpful insects.
Evaluation
Give an oral presentation to the class. Share your Bug Book and present your computer project. Make sure your work is complete and shows your best effort. Your teacher will use a rubric to evaluate all your work.
Conclusion
Now that you have learned so much about insects, think about how the world would be different if there were NO insects. Would it be better? Or Worse? Why?
